From Outsider to Insider – A VAP Team Member With a Very Unique Perspective

Four months have passed since I was hired at VAP, however I was not new to the company when I came on board.  I was a VAP customer for a few years while at my former employer in the automotive industry.  As usual, VAP had been awarded business based on competitive pricing.  High quality and quick turnaround increased that business volume.  But it was the service from VAP that cemented a strong business relationship and their level of service really intrigued me.

VAP was prompt and professional.  VAP was supportive and worked within my timelines.  VAP consistently exceeded my expectations (and I was a very demanding customer!).  VAP really did add value.  Who was VAP?  How was VAP pulling this off at such a low cost to me??  My experience with many suppliers was not nearly as worthwhile as this VAP experience, and I had to find out more!

When I inquired, my VAP rep told me about Team VAP: Vision, Mission, The VAP Way and Team VAP Culture Model, which simply put, is all built around engaged Team Members.  This engagement is the foundation of the company’s success, and ultimately is shared with the customer through service, savings, quality and delivery.  But it doesn’t stop there!  VAP extends their Culture of Care to the community by caring, supporting and giving back.

My rep encouraged me to check out the VAP website (the same one you’re on now!) for more details, and I did.  I clicked on every link to read about what VAP does, but I found my answers in how VAP does it through engaging their Team Members.  Not only is VAP successful, but VAP treats their Team Members as the essential ingredient for their success.

After that, it didn’t take me long to get my own desk at VAP.  Through my unique perspective as a former customer, I get to add to the value.  I benefit from the

VAP Culture every day, and every day I still can’t believe I get to work here.  I love being a part of this Team!
